Located in Kōyōen, one of Japan’s exclusive residential areas, “Komago” continues to be the only Japanese restaurant in Hyogo Prefecture listed as 3 Stars in the Michelin Guide. Komago strives to provide the highest level of hospitality possible, and would like guests to have their experience they have felt at a Japanese restaurant, to be one experienced as an art. We invite our guests to slowly and comfortably enjoy their time at Komago.

About Restaurant

Passed down for 3 generations, the owner Kenichi Fujiwara decided to turn the Japanese inn into a Japanese restaurant and spent two years rebuilding it into Sukiya-zukuri architecture, and in October of 2002 re-opened as “Komago”, a Japanese restaurant. In the spirit of Japanese tea tradition, everything from the residence, garden, atmosphere, dishes the cuisine is served on, the way the dishes are served, and the “shitsurai”, is very carefully thought of and expressed.
